ILO standouts

FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES AND RIGHTS AT WORKThe four major areas to establish a minimum basis in the world of labour are set out in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at work approved in June1988: Freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining, the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour, the effective abolition of child labour, and the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. These principles are envisaged in 8 ILO Agreements that are known from this Declaration as Fundamental Conventions
